New York, United States — The ARM Cuauhtémoc, a flagship vessel of the Mexican Navy, arrived in New York City on Tuesday, as confirmed by Mexico’s Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) in a social media announcement.

The training ship departed from the port of Acapulco, Guerrero, on April 6, embarking on the “Consolidation of Mexican Independence 2025” instructional cruise. The voyage aims to promote maritime spirit, strengthen naval education, and convey a message of peace and goodwill from the Mexican people to ports worldwide.

“As an ambassador, it arrives to inspire with its message of peace and goodwill—a symbol of a Mexico committed to dialogue, international cooperation, and culture as a bridge between nations,” Semar stated. “Our training ship is far more than a vessel: it is the friendly face of our country, carrying the values, pride, and warmth of every Mexican to each port it visits.”
