A man in Tulum's Ejidal neighborhood was the victim of a violent armed attack on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred on Tejón and Chanchén streets, causing alarm among local residents who quickly alerted authorities to the sound of gunshots.
Municipal agents were dispatched to the scene, where they secured the area for safety purposes. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Paramedics from a private company were called to the scene and swiftly transported the critically injured man to a nearby hospital. His condition is reported to be extremely serious.
In the meantime, investigative agents scoured the area for evidence. They also secured a vehicle found at the scene that had sustained multiple gunshot damages.
Reports suggest that the man was hit by at least three bullets, one of which struck him in the head, resulting in his critical condition.
