Cancun, Quintana Roo — The National Electoral Institute (INE) has brought an itinerant service module to Cancun, allowing residents to complete voter ID procedures without traveling to other INE offices. The mobile window will operate every two weeks through January 2027.
Viridiana Santos, director of the city’s Single Window for Procedures and Services, said the initiative was launched in response to residents’ demand for a more convenient location to handle their paperwork.
The module offers first-time voter registration, data updates, credential renewal, replacement, and delivery of finished credentials.
Each session is held every 15 days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with capacity to serve between 40 and 60 people per visit, with support from INE staff.
Santos noted that the space is accessible to people with limited mobility and includes a Mexican Sign Language interpreter to ensure inclusive service.
In August, the module will operate on the 12th and 13th, and again on the 26th and 27th. It will continue on its biweekly schedule through January 2027.
