Cancún, Quintana Roo — Cancún has once again been identified as the city with the most expensive regular gasoline (Magna) in Mexico, according to the latest “Who’s Who in Fuels” report released Monday by Profeco, the federal consumer protection agency.
The report, covering the period from July 21 to 27, 2026, found that the GO GAS station, owned by Servicio Orquídeas, S.A. de C.V., on Avenida Kabah in Supermanzana 248, offered regular gasoline at the highest average price in the country, at 25.39 pesos per liter.
The station also registered the highest profit margin among the eight economic regions analyzed by Profeco, at 3.06 pesos per liter.
In the national comparison, Cancún surpassed prices in Aguascalientes and Querétaro, both at 24.99 pesos per liter, and Culiacán, Sinaloa, at 24.90 pesos per liter. The difference between Cancún’s average price and the lowest-cost station in the same high-margin group, located in Santa Lucía del Camino, Oaxaca, was 93 centavos per liter.
Profeco said the weekly monitoring is intended to make fuel prices and commercial margins more transparent across the country.
