A foreign motorist lost control of his car due to high speed, causing the vehicle to veer off Federal Highway 307. The incident occurred after the driver hit a large puddle in the left lane, causing his car to overturn.
The accident happened around 8 am, near kilometer 266, in front of the Azul cenote. The driver, who was behind the wheel of a black MG G3 with license plates UVZ 526 L, was speeding along the highway when he encountered a large puddle that he failed to notice.
As he sped over the puddle, he lost control of the vehicle, swerving sharply to the right and ending up in a roadside ditch. The driver and his family, all originally from Argentina, escaped injury thanks to their seatbelts.
Following the accident, members of the National Guard were dispatched to the scene. They began efforts to remove the car from the ditch, and a tow truck was called to assist with the recovery.
