The "Baaxlo'ob Paalalo'ob Solidaridad 2024" summer course is set to bring joy and fun to children. The announcement was made by Mr. Amador Gutiérrez Guigui, the general director of the Solidaridad Municipality Sports Institute, during a press conference at the Mario Villanueva sports facility.
The course will run from July 22 to August 9 and will be hosted at two locations: Riviera Maya, northwest of Playa del Carmen, and Puerto Maya, at the town hall of Puerto Aventuras. Over three weeks, children aged 6-13 years can enjoy a mix of fun, learning, and friendship. Registrations open on Wednesday, June 19, at the offices of the sports units hosting the course. The offices are open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Mr. Alejandro Tún, the sports director of the IDM, noted that the course will offer thirteen sports disciplines and various recreational activities. He also mentioned that the Sports Initiation and Training Academies will not be active during the course period due to category changes, adjustments, and the participation of some coaches in the summer course.
Pascual Vargas, the course's general coordinator, added that the Solidaridad Municipal Institute of Culture and Arts will support complementary activities. One such activity is "Visiting My Institute", where participants will tour the cultural center and learn about its various offerings. This includes a visit to the City Theater, where they'll be accompanied by circus artists. Participants will be charged a recovery fee and will receive a sports uniform.
The head of the Solidaridad sports department encourages all families in Solidaridad to take part in the course. It's a great opportunity for children and young people to discover new sports and strengthen their friendships. The "Baaxlo'ob Paalalo'ob Solidaridad 2024" summer course promises to be a spectacular event.
