Quintana Roo, Mexico — Starting Monday, June 15, health caravans will visit communities in four municipalities of Quintana Roo, offering a range of free medical services to residents.
The mobile units will operate from June 15 to 19 in the following locations:
- Lázaro Cárdenas (Ignacio Zaragoza)
- Puerto Morelos (Joaquín Zetina Gasca)
- Othón P. Blanco (Sabidos)
- Felipe Carrillo Puerto (Petcacab)
Services include general medical consultations, dental care, psychological support, X-rays, clinical lab tests, vaccinations, ambulance transport if needed, and other preventive health services. All services are completely free of charge.
Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa reiterated the invitation for residents to take advantage of the opportunity. “In this government with a humanist and feminist heart, your health is a right, not a privilege,” she stated on social media.
To receive care, residents must present a copy of their voter ID (INE) and their CURP (unique population registry code).
The health caravans aim to bring medical services to communities that often face barriers to timely access to consultations, diagnostic studies, and preventive care. Specialists recommend using these visits for routine checkups, early disease detection, and follow-up on chronic conditions.
