Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Xul-Ha–Bacalar Highway Kills One, Injures Another

Bacalar, Quintana Roo — A motorcycle crash on the highway connecting Xul-Ha and Bacalar left one person dead and another injured Saturday, prompting a large emergency response.

According to preliminary reports, the motorcycle was carrying a driver and a passenger when the accident occurred. One of them died at the scene, while the other was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police officers cordoned off the area to allow rescue crews to work and investigators to gather evidence.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. Traffic on the highway was temporarily disrupted while emergency crews cleared the scene and collected evidence.
