Couple found dead in Playa del Carmen home incident

Playa del Carmen, Mexico – A woman lost her life on Thursday after being murdered by her romantic partner, who then took his own life inside their home in the Las Palmas subdivision of Playa del Carmen.

According to preliminary reports, the man and woman were found with multiple wounds inflicted by a bladed weapon that was also discovered at the scene.

Witnesses stated they heard the man and woman engaged in a heated argument before the man attacked his partner, who screamed during the assault.

Police officers arrived later at the scene, located at the intersection of Boulevard Las Palmas and Calle Guacamayas, and discovered that the man had committed suicide following the attack.

Agents from the State Attorney General’s Office also attended the scene and were briefed on what occurred to open the corresponding investigation file.

The bodies were ultimately transported to the Forensic Medical Service.
