Mexico City — The wait is over for music fans: Corona Capital 2026 has officially announced its dates and venue. The festival will take place November 20-22 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, solidifying its status as the most anticipated musical event of the year’s final quarter in Mexico and Latin America.
Under the tagline “Between stages, the best stories happen,” organizers released a nostalgic video featuring highlights from past editions, inviting audiences to prepare for three days of international music.
A Calendar Shift That Surprised Fans
Unlike previous years, the 2026 edition breaks from the traditional November long weekend, forcing both local and out-of-town attendees to adjust their travel plans outside official holidays. Despite the change, expectations remain high, and a full house is expected as in every edition.
Will The Strokes and Gorillaz Headline?
While the official lineup and ticket prices remain under wraps, online speculation is already buzzing. Two names are gaining traction on social media:
- The Strokes: The New York band, led by Julian Casablancas, is in the spotlight after their recent success at Coachella and the anticipated release of their new album, Reality Awaits, scheduled for this summer.
- Gorillaz: Damon Albarn’s project has a confirmed South American tour in November 2026, making a stop in Mexico City seem almost inevitable.
For now, the festival has not revealed information about ticket sales phases or bank pre-sale dates. Fans are advised to stay tuned to official channels for the full lineup announcement, which typically comes weeks after the date reveal.
