Cancún, Quintana Roo — Police in Cancún rescued two human trafficking victims and seized drugs, condoms, sex toys and personal documents during three simultaneous raids across the city, authorities said.

Two of the searches targeted properties under investigation for human trafficking, while the third formed part of a probe into local drug sales. Officials said the operations were aimed at gathering evidence of possible crimes.

Two victims rescued in Supermanzana 23

The first raid took place on Roble Street in Supermanzana 23, between Ceibo and 8th streets, at a property linked to a suspected human trafficking case. Officers secured two victims, who were handed over to the relevant authorities to determine the circumstances they were found in and to provide them with support.

Inside the property, investigators found cutting blades with traces of dried plant matter, condom wrappers, a bag of white powder and several packages containing dried plant material. They also seized personal documents, including passports and identification cards, along with notebooks whose notes may be linked to the services offered at the site, officials said.

Second property searched in Supermanzana 520

A second search tied to the trafficking investigation was carried out at house number 1109 on manzana 22 of Supermanzana 520, where authorities found packets of condoms, sex toys, bags of white powder and a bag of dried plant material.

Drug raid in La Rioja 2

The third raid, targeting suspected drug dealing, took place at Privada Oso 01, manzana 39, in the La Rioja 2 subdivision. There, officers found a large number of packages holding different substances believed to be connected to the sale and distribution of drugs.

Authorities reported seizing 40 packages of white powder, 50 doses of pills in various colors, 118 baggies of dried plant material and 23 packages of a solid crystalline substance.

All three properties were sealed with the stamps of the specialized units of the state prosecutor’s offices once the operations concluded, and the seized items were handed over to investigators for analysis.
