Mexico City — Cadillac has officially launched its first high-performance electric vehicle in Mexico, the 2026 LYRIQ V, marking a new era for the luxury brand’s V-Series lineup. The SUV delivers 615 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, making it the fastest production model Cadillac has ever built.

The LYRIQ V features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration producing an estimated 615 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque. Its Velocity Max function optimizes the powertrain and thermal management system for instant power delivery, enabling the record-breaking acceleration that surpasses even gasoline-powered icons like the CT5-V Blackwing in initial sprints.

Precision Engineering and Design

To manage this power, Cadillac integrated a dedicated V-Mode button on the steering wheel that adjusts suspension, steering, and simulated engine sound for an immersive driving experience. The Standard Continuous Damping Control system ensures refined and stable handling.

Externally, the LYRIQ V sports an aggressive yet sophisticated V-Series design with lower front fascias, unique side skirts, carbon fiber accents, 22-inch dark-finished wheels, and high-performance Brembo® brakes with red six-piston calipers. Its Black Crystal Shield grille features an LED light welcome sequence.

Technological Sanctuary Inside

The cabin centers around a massive 33-inch advanced LED screen spanning nearly the entire dashboard with 9K resolution. Key interior features include:

  • An AKG Studio® 23-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos®
  • Native integration of Google Maps, Waze, and Spotify without smartphone connection
  • Leather seats with embroidered V details, electrically adjustable backs, and open-pore wood trim

Range, Charging, and Safety

The 102 kWh battery provides an estimated range of 458 km. Cadillac Mexico includes a portable 19 kW charger, free residential installation up to 15 meters, and access to General Motors’ charging network at select dealerships nationwide.

Safety features include adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, rear pedestrian alert, and autonomous braking. Connectivity is supported by OnStar with 24 months of unlimited data and emergency services.

Pricing and Availability

The Cadillac LYRIQ V 2026 will be available at Cadillac EV dealerships across Mexico starting in September with a list price of $1,999,000 MXN. This includes three years of maintenance services, a 60,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty, and an eight-year warranty on electric battery components.
