Cancun, Quintana Roo — Argentine rock band Bersuit Vergarabat will perform in Cancun on May 16 as part of an international tour marking nearly 38 years of musical history.

Organizers Rodrigo Vilches and Joselo Méndez announced the concert during a press conference, calling it one of the most anticipated rock events in the city this year.

Band members joined via Zoom and expressed excitement about returning to Mexico and reconnecting with Cancun fans, highlighting the deep bond they have maintained with Mexican audiences for decades.

The tour also commemorates the 25th anniversary of one of the band’s most important albums, a record that defined a generation and cemented Bersuit as one of Latin American rock’s most irreverent and influential acts.

Known for blending rock, cumbia, murga, tango, and reggae with socially and politically charged lyrics, the band has built a unique sonic identity that remains relevant nearly four decades after its formation.

The setlist will include classics such as “Mi Caramelo,” “La Soledad,” “Sr. Cobranza,” “Toco y Me Voy,” “Un Pacto,” and “El Tiempo No Para,” songs that have accompanied generations of fans across Latin America.

The concert will also feature local original music bands, invited tribute groups, and a food and beverage area. The event is for adults only and will take place on the upper level of Malecón Américas.
