Contraband Uncovered in Playa del Carmen Detention Center

A surprise search operation was conducted at the Municipal Detention Center (CRM) in Playa del Carmen. The operation involved various security forces, including the Municipal Police, State Police, and the National Guard. The operation was coordinated with different government orders and was carried out under strict security protocols.

The operation began at 9:45 PM on Thursday and concluded at 2:00 AM on Friday. During the search, a significant amount of illegal substances, mobile phones, and makeshift weapons, commonly referred to as "tips," were discovered and secured.

This operation forms part of ongoing security measures aimed at preventing illegal activities and maintaining order within the detention center. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to identify those responsible and take appropriate legal action.
