Cancun, Quintana Roo — A judge has ordered 10 people to stand trial on drug-related charges in Cancun, the state prosecutor’s office announced.

The State Prosecutor’s Office, through its specialized anti-drug trafficking unit, presented evidence that led a control judge to issue formal charges against the suspects for health-related crimes.

Three individuals — identified as Emmanuel “N,” Alex Fernando “N,” and Fernando “N” — were charged with supplying cannabis. Five others — David Gustavo “N,” Edgar “N,” Manuel Enrique “N,” Erick Adrián “N,” and Víctor Manuel “N” — were charged with simple possession of marijuana. In a separate ruling, Alberto Tomás “N” was also charged with simple possession.

Additionally, a 16-year-old minor, whose identity has been withheld, was processed and referred to the specialized prosecutor’s office for crimes committed by adolescents.

During the initial hearings, prosecutors requested and obtained pretrial detention for the adult defendants.
