Playa del Carmen, Mexico – The Youth Link Center in Puerto Aventuras is scheduled to reopen in mid-January 2026 to address the needs and problems faced by the youth population in this municipality.
The reopening will coincide with the Youth Congress to be held in the city, as stated by Gabriel Pérez Álvarez, director of the Playa del Carmen Youth Institute.
He noted that there are currently no statistics on the number of young people living in this municipality, but a diagnosis has been made of the problems they face in areas such as health, education, and other sectors, including the lack of an upper secondary education center.
Working groups will be established with various municipal departments to resolve, as much as possible, the situations affecting the youth of this municipality.
Regarding the specific issue of the educational facility, he acknowledged that state agencies are also involved, hence the need to initiate these working groups to support the efforts that, as a reminder, the municipality itself began several years ago.
