Tulum, Quintana Roo — The State Attorney General's Office has reported the arrest of a woman identified as Mary Karla "N", who is alleged to be the intellectual author of the crime of intentional homicide against a man while he was sleeping.
According to a preliminary report of the events, the incident originated in a residence located on Tulum Avenue with Beta Sur Street. Investigations indicate the attack was premeditated and is believed to have been motivated by a prior robbery of a cell phone and a pair of sneakers, which the victim had allegedly stolen months earlier.
Subsequently, once the necessary evidence was gathered, a control judge ordered Mary Karla "N" to be bound over for trial and remanded into preventive prison for a period of two years.
The identity of the victim remains withheld at this time. However, it was reported that he sustained fatal injuries inflicted with a bladed weapon, leading the State Attorney General's Office to consider this a case of special attention.
