Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Investigative police from the State Attorney General's Office have executed an arrest warrant against two male individuals identified as Josué Roberto “N” and Víctor Hugo “N” for their alleged involvement in events possibly constituting the crimes of aggravated deprivation of liberty and qualified injuries, to the detriment of a male victim whose identity is withheld.
The suspects are under investigation for events that occurred on October 7 of this year. According to authorities, the men entered the victim's home, located in the El Edén neighborhood of this municipality, where they held him captive for approximately one hour. During the incident, the assailants caused injuries to the victim's shoulders, head, and hands with a machete.
Following a report of the events, the State Attorney General's Office requested and obtained an arrest warrant from a control judge against both men. The warrant was executed on Zapote Street in the Misión del Mar neighborhood.
After the requisite legal procedures were completed, Josué Roberto “N” and Víctor Hugo “N” were turned over to the authority that required them. They were subsequently admitted to the Municipal Retention Center pending a resolution of their legal status.
