Tulum Tops 2025 Michelin Guide in Quintana Roo

Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Michelin Guide has unveiled its 2025 culinary recommendations for the state of Quintana Roo, with Tulum emerging as the region’s leading gastronomic destination. Of the 20 restaurants highlighted by the prestigious international guide, eight are located in Tulum, seven in Playa del Carmen, two in Cancún, two in Puerto Morelos, and one in Isla Mujeres.

The Tulum restaurants recognized by the guide include Arca, Autor, Casa Banana, Hartwood, Nü, Cetli, Mestixa, and Wild—a selection that underscores the diversity and richness of the local dining scene.

Carla Andrade Piedras, Tulum’s Director General of Tourism, celebrated the achievement, calling it a significant milestone for the municipality. “It’s excellent news that Tulum’s gastronomy is being recognized by such a prestigious platform. This strengthens our image as a destination for unique and authentic experiences,” she said.

Michelin Stars and Best Value Picks

Quintana Roo boasts three Michelin-starred restaurants: Ha’ and Cocina de Autor Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen, and Le Chiqué in Puerto Morelos. Meanwhile, the guide’s “Best Value” distinctions were awarded to Mestixa and Cetli in Tulum, Punta Corcho in Puerto Morelos, and Achiote Cocina de México in Playa del Carmen.

The Michelin Guide’s recognition not only boosts culinary tourism but also validates the efforts of chefs, producers, and entrepreneurs who have positioned Quintana Roo as a culinary epicenter in Mexico.
