Cancún, Quintana Roo — A spectacular vehicular accident was recorded this afternoon in the Hotel Zone after a driver exited a street without due caution and collided with another vehicle, which ended up overturned.
According to the report from the Transit Department, the incident occurred around 4:25 p.m. at kilometer 14 of the Hotel Zone, when the driver of a Hyundai Grand i10 entered Kukulcán Boulevard after exiting Retorno del Rey street without caution.
Due to this maneuver, the Hyundai collided with a gray Nissan Versa that had the right of way, causing its driver to lose control of his vehicle and end up overturned off the roadway.
Despite the spectacular nature of the accident, only material damage was recorded; however, both drivers were evaluated by paramedics at the scene, without the need for transport to a hospital.
After conducting the corresponding investigation, authorities ordered the involved vehicles to be towed to an impound lot, while the drivers were taken to the experts’ area for the corresponding legal procedures.
