Izamal, Yucatán — The Patronato Cultur invites the public to enjoy an audiovisual spectacle, presented from Thursday to Saturday, which seeks to highlight the Maya heritage and cultural mestizaje of the City of Three Cultures.
The State Government, through the Patronato de las Unidades de Servicios Culturales y Turísticos del Estado de Yucatán (Cultur), invites visitors to experience the "Senderos de Luz" videomapping, an audiovisual tour that highlights the historical, cultural, and spiritual richness of Izamal, known as the City of Three Cultures.
The spectacle allows local, national, and international visitors to immerse themselves in Maya cosmogony and the most representative passages of the region's history, combining narrative, monumental images, and high-quality projections.
The tour begins at the Parque de Los Cañones, the meeting point for attendees, and unfolds over approximately 45 minutes. During the experience, the walls, arches, and facade of the former San Antonio de Padua convent are transformed into a stage that fuses tradition and modernity, evoking the Maya heritage and cultural mestizaje that characterizes the city.
"Senderos de Luz" is presented on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, starting at eight o'clock in the evening. In addition to the projection, the experience includes an immersive atmosphere that transports attendees through the different historical stages that have marked the development of Izamal.
Admission costs 162 pesos for foreign visitors and 111 pesos for nationals, fees designed to make this cultural legacy accessible to a wide audience. Tickets can be purchased directly at the Parque de Los Cañones, located on Calle 31 in the city center, before the start of the tour.
The combination of history, architecture, and technology positions this videomapping as a benchmark for cultural tourism that honors the memory of Izamal and its permanence in the present.
