Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A local pizzeria has donated 39,000 pesos to Fundación Aitana, a nonprofit organization that supports children undergoing cancer treatment in Playa del Carmen and across the state.
During a ceremony, Raúl López, the pizzeria’s floor sub-manager, presented a symbolic check and highlighted the social commitment behind the contribution. “It is an honor for us to deliver this check in support of the fight against cancer,” López said. “We believe that together we can accomplish many things, and we thank the foundation for its tireless work and dedication.”
The foundation currently assists about 40 children in Playa del Carmen who require travel to cities like Cancún or Chetumal for chemotherapy and other specialized treatments. Statewide, the organization supports more than 200 children.
