Alleged Thief Detained by Residents in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, Mexico – A man accused of being a thief was detained, tied up, and beaten by residents of the Galaxia 2 neighborhood after allegedly entering a home to commit a robbery, according to preliminary information.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night at a residence located on Uribe Street, where the individual reportedly entered without authorization and stole various valuable items.

Upon noticing the situation, residents of the area requested assistance through emergency numbers. However, before the arrival of Public Security officers, the neighbors reportedly secured the alleged perpetrator and delivered several blows, later leaving him tied up.

Minutes later, municipal police arrived at the scene, were informed of what happened, and took charge of the individual in accordance with established protocols.
