Holbox, Quintana Roo — Police arrested a man on a public street in Holbox after seizing dozens of bags of suspected marijuana during a patrol on Wednesday.
Officers from the Public Security Department spotted the individual handling plastic bags containing green vegetation near Paseo Kuka street, between Tintorera and Lisa, close to a residence and the Alcobas del Mar hotel.
When the man noticed the police, he appeared agitated. Officers informed him of the reason for the inspection and conducted a preventive search.
During the search, police seized 78 small plastic ziploc bags and one medium bag containing green, dry vegetation, along with a handbag and two cell phones.
The suspect, identified as Marco Antonio “N,” was turned over to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Trafficking, where his legal status will be determined.
