Chetumal, Mexico — The Attorney General's Office of the State of Quintana Roo, in collaboration with its counterpart in the state of Querétaro, has executed an arrest warrant against José Guadalupe “N,” alias “Sargento.” He is being investigated for his alleged involvement in events possibly constituting the crimes of aggravated homicide and attempted aggravated homicide, to the detriment of two male victims, whose identities are reserved.
The arrest of this individual took place on the Mexico–Querétaro highway, in the city of Santiago, Querétaro. This followed investigative, field, and desk work by personnel of this Social Representation, which allowed them to locate him in that state.
The events for which José Guadalupe “N” had a standing arrest warrant occurred on the night of April 24, 2024. At that time, accompanied by six men, he arrived at the victim's residence, a minor, located on Ushuaia Street in the Flamingos subdivision, in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.
At that moment, the victim arrived at his home on a motorcycle, prompting the men to get out of the vehicle in which they were traveling. Three of them then shot at him with long weapons.
The minor tried to run inside the home, from where his father emerged. The father was also injured in the shooting.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the minor lost his life at the scene of the events. Meanwhile, his father was transferred to a hospital for medical attention, ultimately surviving.
Following his detention and the completion of the required legal procedures, José Guadalupe “N” was transported by air to this municipality. He was subsequently taken to the state capital to be made available to the requesting authority. His legal status will be determined within the established constitutional term.
