In Tulum, on September 15, 2024, a dismembered body was discovered in broad daylight on the town's streets. The gruesome find was made by pedestrians traveling on the road. The remains were of a man, with only the torso left intact, the arms and legs were missing.
The authorities reported that the torso was found on Sagitario Oriente Street, between Géminis Norte, near the entrance of a green gate. Initial reports suggest that a head was found in a restaurant's garbage bin on the same street. However, it is unclear if it belongs to the same individual.
