The Governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama Espinoza, visited the construction site of the new General Hospital in Felipe Carrillo Puerto earlier today. The hospital is being built adjacent to the Maya Train route in the county. "We've started building this much-needed hospital for the incredible residents of this municipality," said the state governor. She believes this project is a step towards social justice and fulfills the New Agreement for the Welfare and Development of Quintana Roo.
During her visit, Governor Lezama detailed the facilities that the hospital will offer to provide quality and efficient service, especially to the central state and Mayan population. The hospital will feature:
- 14 outpatient consultation rooms.
- Clinical laboratories.
- X-ray facilities.
- Tomography services.
- Ultrasound capabilities.
- Mammography services.
- 60 hospital beds.
Governor Lezama emphasized that combating corruption ensures that public funds can be used for more meaningful projects. She believes that this hospital is a reflection of shared prosperity and will greatly benefit the community.
