Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A former high-ranking official in the administration of Mayor Lili Campos has filed a legal injunction seeking to block actions by the municipal oversight body. Kira Iris San, who served as treasurer and general secretary of the Solidaridad municipality, filed the petition with the Ninth Court of the Twenty-Seventh Circuit.
The injunction, recorded under case number 389/2026 and published this past Monday, targets the head of the Substantive, Advisory, and Legal Analysis Directorate of the Internal Control Body, Cristina Alcérreca. A federal judge has accepted the petition for review.
Court documents show the injunction specifically challenges a March 25, 2026, ruling issued in case number DSCAJ/INC002/2026. This ruling relates to an incompetence incident stemming from an administrative responsibility procedure, OIC/DSCAJ/PRA-039-2025, initiated by the oversight body against San.
The Internal Control Body is conducting proceedings against San, who was one of the principal officials in the administration led by Lili Campos Miranda. Previously, Alcérreca stated that the federal audit office made several observations regarding the 2024 public account, specifically covering the final nine months of the previous administration, and that various officials would be called to provide clarifications.
This is not the only injunction San has filed. The former local legislator submitted two injunctions in the Ninth Court, registered under case numbers 389/2026 and 390/2026. She also filed an injunction in the Eighth District Court, recorded as case 338/2026, and two more in the Fourth District Court, registered as cases 183/2026 and 185/2026.
Legal observers suggest the multiple filings may be an attempt to secure a temporary suspension in at least one of the cases to avoid potential actions against her.
