A tragic incident occurred on the Cancún-Puerto Morelos highway near Xoximilco park, resulting in a fatality. The victim, who remains unidentified, was struck by multiple vehicles after ending up on the road. Due to the lack of light in the area, drivers mistook the body for a deceased animal, leading to further dismemberment.
The gruesome discovery was made by pedestrians at dawn, who immediately alerted emergency services via the 911 hotline. This prompted the swift response of the Municipal Police and National Guard. The authorities subsequently secured the area, where the victim's remains were spread across approximately 30 meters of pavement. The Forensic Services were then called in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
