José María Morelos, Quintana Roo — One person died and two others were seriously injured following an accident on a state highway that occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. on the Dziuché-entronque a Tihosuco state road, near the turnoff to the town of Xacabil.
Preliminary information on the incident indicates that two vehicles nearly collided head-on while traveling on the aforementioned road, after one of the cars attempted to overtake a mototaxi.
From the strong impact, it appears that one of the drivers of the involved units, a car and a van, lost his life, while in the other unit, the occupants were seriously injured.
Police stationed in Saban arrived at the scene of the incident to close off the accident site and prevent vehicle traffic, while ministerial authorities arrived to gather information on the events and remove the deceased.
For the injured, an ambulance responded to the emergency call and transported them to the comprehensive hospital in this city, as both presented serious injuries and wounds.
