Playa del Carmen Hosts Elite 16 Beach Volleyball World Tour!

Governor Mara Lezama has expressed her enthusiasm for the selection of Mexican athletes set to participate in the Elite 16 Beach Volleyball World Tour. The event, taking place from March 26 to March 30 in Playa del Carmen, will showcase 128 athletes from 31 different countries in a stunning beachside location.

Lezama emphasized that this tournament will feature the top talent in the sport, representing the highest level of competition recognized by the International Volleyball Federation and Volleyball World. The inclusion of world-class teams, including Olympic and world champions, will undoubtedly place Playa del Carmen on the global sports stage.

The Elite 16 Beach Volleyball World Tour in Playa del Carmen 2025 is a coordinated effort by several organizations. These include the International Volleyball Federation, Volleyball World, CONADE, FMVB, the Government of the State of Quintana Roo, CODEQ, and the Municipality of Playa del Carmen. The event will be broadcast globally via Hi sports and TVC Deportes, ensuring worldwide visibility for this premier sporting event.

The tournament underscores the importance of sport in Quintana Roo, while also promoting sports tourism and economic growth. The economic impact generated by the event, particularly in the services sector, coupled with the presence of elite athletes and global broadcast coverage, will undoubtedly establish Playa del Carmen as a significant player in the international sports landscape.
