Drunk Driver Crashes Into Three Cars in Cancun, No Injuries Reported
Cancun, Quintana Roo — A man believed to be driving under the influence crashed his Jeep into three vehicles on Avenida Andres Quintana Roo on Saturday, causing significant property damage but no injuries, authorities said.
The Jeep was speeding along the avenue between Chac Mool and Industrial streets when the driver lost control and struck a parked compact car, heavily damaging its left rear quarter. The impact caused the Jeep to overturn, slamming into a silver pickup truck parked ahead of the first vehicle and also colliding with a Kia that was traveling in the adjacent lane.
Traffic officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and helped the intoxicated driver exit his vehicle. The man complained of a right-hand injury from broken glass.
A beer can that had fallen from the overturned Jeep lay on the asphalt, according to witnesses.
