Playa del Carmen. This morning, a lifeless body was found wrapped in a tarp on Playa del Carmen Boulevard, on the road leading to the irregular settlement of Las Torres.
According to preliminary information, a report to the emergency number 911 alerted authorities to the presence of the body lying on the roadway, at the edge of a fence.
Municipal police officers arrived at the scene and found the corpse of a man wrapped in an orange and blue tarp, prompting them to cordon off the area to notify the State Attorney General’s Office.
Minutes later, criminology experts and forensic personnel took charge of the proceedings, subsequently transporting the body to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service.
