Tulum, Quintana Roo — On Sunday afternoon, the body of a man was found in a secluded area by residents of Colonia Cristal. The victim showed visible signs of torture, and his remains were left exposed with the apparent intention of publicizing another criminal act in the ninth municipality.
According to gathered information, authorities were alerted about a deceased person in the aforementioned neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers confirmed it was a high-impact incident.
The individual had been abandoned in broad daylight in the location. Prior to execution, the victim had been deprived of liberty and tortured. It remains unknown whether the victim sustained gunshot wounds.
Residents attempted to identify him, but it appears the perpetrators of this act only used the area to abandon the body, taking advantage of the lack of surveillance by authorities, who carried out the corresponding procedures. The body was transported to the facilities of the Servicio Médico Forense (SEMEFO), where it remains unidentified.
