Body of Man Found With Signs of Violence in Cancun’s Lombardo Toledano Neighborhood

Cancun, Quintana Roo — The body of a man with visible signs of violence was discovered Monday evening in the Lombardo Toledano neighborhood, prompting a multi-agency security response.

Police received a report through the 911 emergency line around 7:30 p.m. after residents noticed a suspicious bundle wrapped in sheets at the end of Francisco Villa Street.

Municipal police officers arrived first and confirmed the person was dead, with authorities believing the body was left at the scene hours before it was found.

Officers cordoned off the area to preserve evidence.

Forensic personnel and investigators from the State Prosecutor’s Office later arrived to process the scene and remove the body.

State police, the Mexican Army, and the Mexican Navy also joined the security perimeter. The victim remains unidentified at the forensic service facilities.
