Cancun, Quintana Roo — Police found a body wrapped in blankets Saturday evening on a dirt road in the Carabanchel neighborhood, part of Cancun’s Region 106.
The discovery was made around 7 p.m. near the Viany Sports Complex. A local resident spotted the body and guided officers to the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate the victim had visible signs of violence, including stab wounds and apparent strangulation marks.
Authorities cordoned off the area while investigators from the State Prosecutor’s Office processed the scene. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to the forensic medical services facility.
