Cancún, Mexico — Avoris Airlines will continue operating six weekly flights to Cancún with an annual occupancy rate of 90%, tourism officials announced following meetings at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2026.

Pablo de Zulueta Razo, the tourism secretary for Benito Juárez municipality, said the airline plans to strengthen its presence in the Mexican Caribbean by promoting flights to Cancún, allowing for collaboration to increase traveler flow to the destination.

“We had several agreements at Fitur 2026 regarding airlines, including with Avoris,” de Zulueta said. “It was a strategic meeting to learn how they would continue increasing promotion of their flights to Cancún and how we could join forces, because the key is always to work hand in hand.”

He noted that the fact major airlines like Avoris continue promoting Cancún indicates the destination remains competitive and preferred by travelers. The airline maintains specific plans for the region, and local officials will support these efforts to attract more visitors, which translates to economic benefits for Cancún.
