Cancún, Quintana Roo — Bus operator Autocar announced it is renewing its fleet with 100 hybrid buses, part of a strategy to modernize public transport and improve service for riders in Cancún.
The new units run on technology that pairs fuel combustion with an electric system as the primary power source, a setup the company says will cut fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.
Autocar said the renewal also includes a new paint scheme for the buses and new uniforms for its staff, aimed at refreshing the company’s image and strengthening customer service.
According to the company, the hybrid buses will be more comfortable and efficient while contributing to environmental protection through lower-impact technology.
With the arrival of the 100 vehicles, Autocar aims to advance the modernization of Cancún’s public transport and deliver service in line with the needs of a city whose mobility demands keep growing.
