Kanasín welcomed the arrival of the "Unique Classic Rally", a showcase of vintage cars from the 1950s and 60s, yesterday. The event, which took place at the Municipal Palace, was organized to raise funds for children and young people in need of glasses to improve their vision.

Mayor Edwin Bojórquez Ramírez, alongside his wife Raquel Balam Rocha and their children, graced the occasion. He expressed his gratitude to Carlos Hernán Figueroa Martínez, the main organizer of the event, for bringing the classic cars to Kanasín for the locals to enjoy.

The rally showcased over 35 classic cars and marked the third consecutive year of the event. Residents took the opportunity to take photos with luxury car brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Jaguar, Spit Fire, Volkswagen, and Renault, among others. Figueroa Martínez pointed out that the event not only served a charitable cause but also aimed to familiarize people with these types of classic cars.

The rally began its journey in 2024 in San Francisco Campeche, making stops in Chichén Itzá, Valladolid, Pisté, Kanasín, and finally ending in the capital city. Figueroa Martínez also revealed plans for next year’s rally, which is set to start in Puerto Morelos, with several stops along the way.
