Local law enforcement in Cancún have secured a section of Chichen Itza Avenue, following the discovery of two abandoned suitcases, each containing a body. The grisly find occurred in the district known as Supermanzana 1, situated between Tulum and Bonampak. A security guard on patrol first noticed the suitcases left unattended in the public area, and upon inspection, discovered human remains inside.

Officers from the Municipal Police, along with personnel from the Forensic Medical Service, were called to the scene. Their investigation confirmed that the two victims found inside the suitcases had apparently been strangled. The identities of the victims are currently unknown.

Authorities are now examining footage from the Control, Command, Communication, Computing, and Quality Center (C-5), in hopes that their surveillance cameras may have captured the moment when the perpetrators arrived at the location. This could potentially lead to the identification and apprehension of those responsible.
