Cancún, Mexico — A woman was the victim of an attempted execution this afternoon outside her residence in Supermanzana 76 of this city. A witness reported via emergency line 911 that in Block 24, near the church Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, a woman was found wounded by gunfire.
Security forces and paramedics mobilized to the scene to provide first aid to the woman, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, whose identity remains unknown at this time, was rushed in critical condition to the General Hospital.
Neighbors at the scene stated that the attackers were two individuals of average build who fled on a Cross-type motorcycle. The Ministerial Police have launched an investigation into the incident, while forensic personnel conducted evidence collection.
