TULUM — In an atmosphere of celebration and joy, the Cry of Independence was observed in the municipal plaza of the Tulum City Hall, where more than 7,000 people responded unanimously to the cry of "Long live Mexico!" exclaimed by Municipal President Diego Castañón Trejo with great patriotism.

In a plaza filled with revelry and Mexican passion, the 215th Anniversary of Independence was commemorated, led by the municipal president, who carried out the protocol act that marks Mexican tradition.

Following the ringing of the bell, President Diego Castañón exclaimed: "Long live the heroes who gave us our homeland! Long live Hidalgo! Long live Morelos! Long live Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez! Long live Allende! Long live Aldama! Long live National Independence! Long live Tulum! Long live Quintana Roo! Long live Mexico! Long live Mexico! Long live Mexico!" The crowd responded with great passion to each cry with a "Long live!"

Prior to this, the Secretary General, Johnny Monsreal Padilla, was in charge of reading the "Sentiments of the Nation," emulating that night in 1810 when Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla began the Independence movement with the same words.

It is worth mentioning that attendees enjoyed a cheerful program consisting of folkloric dances, singers of Mexican regional music, as well as the internationally known band Cuisillos, who performed their greatest hits such as "A veces lloro," "Mil heridas," "Acuérdate de mi," among others, and closing with a flourish, the band La Grandiosa.

During the event, there was the presence of elements of Public Security, Executive Police, Civil Protection, and Firefighters, who at all times guarded the area with a strong protection protocol, guaranteeing the physical integrity of the attendees.

In this way, a colorful night full of joy, enthusiasm, and above all, a lot of passion was experienced, which has always characterized the Mexican people.
