Get Rewards for Recycling in Quintana Roo! Join Governor Mara Lezama’s Family-Friendly Initiative

The Recycle for your Future initiative continues to positively impact thousands of residents in Quintana Roo by promoting recycling and providing incentives that boost the family economy. This year, the initiative plans to distribute up to 90,000 food packages to active participants, as announced by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa.

Recycle for your Future is an innovative program that operates in six municipalities: Benito Juarez, Isla Mujeres (mainland area), Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Othón P. Blanco. Participants can exchange recyclable materials for food packages and also receive education on environmental stewardship and waste management.

Registration is currently open and can be accessed on the official website, reciclaportufuturo.com. Governor Lezama underlined that this initiative is a key part of Quintana Roo's transition towards a more sustainable future, ensuring that resources are directly provided to the people, without any intermediaries.

"The collective efforts of thousands of recycling families result in tangible benefits for both their personal economy and the planet. Recycling is a shared responsibility, and together we can build a more prosperous, sustainable state," said Mara Lezama.

Recycle for your Future exemplifies how environmental stewardship can yield tangible societal benefits. The program invites more families to participate, contributing to environmental protection while receiving support for their households.
