Cancun, Quintana Roo — Authorities arrested two people for alleged drug dealing during a joint security operation in Cancun on Tuesday.
The arrests occurred during patrols in the Supermanzana 31 area as part of Operation Blindaje Cancun, a coordinated effort involving Cancun police, the National Guard, and the State Prosecutor’s Office.
Officers spotted two individuals handling multiple transparent bags containing a green, dry substance resembling marijuana. When police approached for a preventive inspection, they seized 38 bags of the suspected drug from Rodolfo “N” and Elizabeth “N”.
Both suspects were detained at the scene and turned over to the State Prosecutor’s Office, which will handle the investigation and determine their legal status.
Operation Blindaje Cancun continues regular patrols throughout the city as part of ongoing crime prevention efforts.
