Tulum, Quintana Roo — Young players from the Educational Football Program of the Real Madrid Foundation at Tulum Country Club will travel to Madrid to participate in the Real Madrid Foundation World Challenge 2026, an international friendly tournament that brings together participants from the foundation’s programs and clinics worldwide. For the second consecutive year, youth from Quintana Roo will experience this event from March 29 to April 4, a global gathering where soccer and values take center stage.

The RMF World Challenge is a friendly tournament organized by the Real Madrid Foundation, promoted by Kaptiva Sports, that combines soccer and values in a format fostering camaraderie among teams from its programs and clinics in more than 23 countries. Competitions will take place at the Real Madrid Sports City and the José Caballero Sports Center in Alcobendas, in Under-10, Under-12, and Under-14 categories. The experience includes, in addition to matches, an opening ceremony at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium and a visit to the Santiago Bernabéu, making the week much more than just a tournament.

“At Tulum Country Club, we bet on sports because we believe in their power to shape people. Last year our team left Madrid as champions, and that moment and the experience lived are worth more than any trophy. This year they return to live a unique experience and come back with great memories for a lifetime,” said Álvaro Moya, Country Manager of Tulum Country Club.

The Educational Football Program of the Real Madrid Foundation at Tulum Country Club trains children and youth from the community and region by combining technical soccer development with education in the values that distinguish the foundation: motivation, team spirit, self-esteem, autonomy, equality, healthy habits, and respect. Participation in the World Challenge is the natural culmination of that annual training process, an opportunity for players to share with other groups from around the world what they’ve learned throughout the year.

“The World Challenge isn’t just a tournament, it’s a week where each child has the opportunity to grow on and off the field alongside peers from all over the world. For our group from Tulum Country Club, living that experience at the Real Madrid Sports City, putting into practice the methodology and values we work on each week, is a moment they’ll remember for a lifetime,” said Pablo Gil Sarrión, Technical Director of the Educational Football Program of the Real Madrid Foundation in Tulum.

Participation in the RMF World Challenge aligns with Tulum Country Club’s vision as an exclusive residential community that integrates sports, wellness, and nature as part of its lifestyle proposal. Through partnerships like the Educational Football Program of the Real Madrid Foundation, Tulum Country Club reaffirms that access to sports and educational experiences are essential parts of the lifestyle it offers its residents, promoting sports in the region from an early age.
