TULUM, Mexico — Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo has announced the arrival of the Unique Rally Clásico 4th Edition, which will be celebrated on September 18 with a free exhibition of antique cars in the city center, starting at 12:00 hours.
Accompanied by driver Michel Jourdain Jr., who extended the official invitation, Castañón emphasized that the event will not only attract automobile enthusiasts but will also be an experience for the entire family.
“We are ready to be energized by this great gathering that combines history, culture, and fun in one place,” the mayor stated.
A Precision Competition
The rally, organized by Scuderia FullGas, will bring together 30 collector vehicles manufactured between 1950 and 1970. Unlike speed races, this regularity competition focuses on the precision of times at each stage through digital instructions.
The route will cover more than 600 kilometers across three stages:
- Puerto Morelos – Tulum – Temach – Valladolid
- Valladolid – Ikbalam – Chichikan
- Valladolid – Tizimín – Motul – Mérida
Figures from Motorsports and Entertainment
The Unique Rally 2024 will feature the participation of renowned drivers such as Mario Domínguez, Alexandra Mohnhaupt, and Michel Jourdain Jr. himself, alongside international guests and entertainment personalities like Denisse de Kalafe.
Prior to the official start, on September 16 and 17, the double zero day and the zero day will take place. During these, vehicles will be delivered, mechanical inspections will be conducted, and drivers will familiarize themselves with the digital route book.
Rally with a Social Cause
Beyond sport, this rally has a social focus: in each municipality visited, glasses, wheelchairs, and mobility devices will be delivered to people in vulnerable situations.
The closing of the event will be held at the Scuderia FullGas Museum in Mérida, featuring a private concert by Margarita, la Diosa de la Cumbia.
Tulum as a Tourist and Cultural Destination
The municipal government underscored that with this exhibition, Tulum solidifies its position as a tourist destination that promotes cultural, sporting, and recreational activities, strengthening the offerings of the Mexican Caribbean and fostering family togetherness.
