Tulum, Quintana Roo — Rafael Martín del Campo, the Revenue Collector for the State Government in Tulum, has urged owners of commercial establishments and service providers to regularize their operating licenses and permits before the end of the year. The initiative aims to prevent complications during the renewal process for the 2026 fiscal year.

The official explained that November and December are key months for updating permits, especially for operating licenses and alcohol sales permits, categories that tend to see increased activity during the year-end festivities.

"We are focused on ensuring no one has complications when renewing their licenses for 2026. These dates are important because many businesses operate with temporary permits or have permits about to expire, and we are seeking to have everything in order before the start of the new year," Martín del Campo stated.

Administrative Closing and Facilities for Taxpayers Prepared

The revenue collector emphasized that the department is working in coordination with various areas of the Tulum City Council to guarantee an orderly administrative closing and an efficient start to the next fiscal year.

He also reported that another process to be addressed will be the exchange of 2026 vehicle license plates. He therefore invited taxpayers to stay attentive to the established deadlines and requirements to fulfill their obligations in a timely and correct manner.

"We are organizing the year-end closing and preparing all the mechanisms to facilitate procedures and services for taxpayers. We want the start of 2026 to be agile and without setbacks," he said.

Call for Timely Regularization

Martín del Campo reiterated the importance of establishment owners visiting the municipal Revenue offices to update their documentation and avoid a backlog in January, when demand for services increases.

The official recalled that keeping permits and licenses updated not only complies with regulations but also provides legal certainty for businesses and contributes to the economic order of the municipality.

Through these actions, the State Government and the Tulum City Council seek to strengthen commercial formality and responsible revenue collection, fundamental pillars for local financial stability and the well-being of the community.
