Aguascalientes, Mexico — The Tres Regalos Ixtul team from Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, has won the 2026 Aguascalientes VIP Charro Tournament. The competition concluded at the San Francisco de Asís charro arena, featuring highly competitive teams sanctioned by the Mexican Charro Federation.
A Podium of National Champions
In the grand final of charrería, first place was awarded to the Tres Regalos Ixtul team, which accumulated 434 points. The second-place position in the overall standings went to the Zacatecas-based team from Rancho El Soyate. The third place corresponded to the Villa Oro association from Querétaro, with 349 points, completing the tournament podium.
The Zacatecas team, the current national charrería champion, delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition. The team demonstrated mastery in each event, from horse reining to the risky death pass, accumulating 395 points to secure second place.
Rancho El Soyate, belonging to the Aguilar family, reached the grand final on its own merits. The team had led the elimination phase with 408 points, positioning itself at the top of the table by surpassing associations from different states across the country.
A Premier National Event
The 2026 Aguascalientes VIP Charro Tournament stood out for its high competitive level. The event featured the participation of teams such as Amazonas de Hidalgo, Rinconada Frontera de Coahuila, El Cócono de Michoacán, and RG2 de San Luis Potosí. The tournament has consolidated itself as one of the most relevant events on the national charro calendar in Mexico.
