Isla Mujeres, Q. Roo — The cleanliness, order, and beauty of the beaches in Isla Mujeres continue to attract more tourism to the destination despite the low season, with a good flow of visitors being recorded.

The Director General of Tourism and Economic Development, Hernán Magaña Vargas, added that, unlike other destinations in Quintana Roo, Isla Mujeres is experiencing a good influx of visitors. He stated that one only needs to go out to the Malecón and travel along Playa Centro and Playa Norte to confirm that the island is full of tourists.

"The beaches of Isla Mujeres are unique; they have Blue Flag and Playa Platino certification, which places Playa Norte and Playa Centro among the best in the world for their cleanliness, order, security, sustainability, water quality, and environmental education, among other criteria," said Magaña Vargas.

The municipal official highlighted that the government led by Mayor Atenea Gómez is promoting tourism promotion strategies and campaigns, such as 'Love Isla Mujeres,' which aim to increase the Quintana Roo market to continue generating shared prosperity for the benefit of island families.

Magaña Vargas reiterated that the goal is to diversify the market and have more options for the low seasons by promoting the unparalleled beauty, culture, tradition, and history of the Pueblo Mágico of Isla Mujeres among the residents of Quintana Roo.
