The following day, July 28, will spotlight regional cuisine, including the traditional cochino encebado dish, and an evening of jarana music featuring groups such as K’a Sijil and Thórapherxs.

The celebrations will continue on July 29 with a night of Afro-Caribbean roots music, performed by Jumuil Wayeek’ and Zona Maya Joto’tsuk. The event will conclude on July 30 with a reception for local authorities, a ceremonial ball game, award presentations, and a traditional vaquería dance accompanied by live orchestra music.
